This has been an idea I’ve been kicking around for some time now. Finally I’ve decided to do something about it.
If you want to read about the professional peloton, then you’re spoilt for choice these days. Pop into a newsagents, and you’ll have a huge array of magazines to choose from. Cycling is the new golf!
But if, like me, you want to read about the grass roots of our sport, then you won’t find that in the magazines. Yes, there might be the occasional article, but after a while I get tired reading about Pro riders or cycling holidays and want something a bit more ‘real’.
That’s what I want to do with this site.
It’s about lifting the lid on what it’s like to be an amateur rider. Someone who rides for fun, who doesn’t make a living at the sport, but who’s passionate about riding. Whether that’s in races, time trials, sportives, or just getting out on your own on a Sunday morning.
Stories like these inspire me.
I’m inviting you to join me on this journey. If you like to write, then please contribute. I’m simply the curator of this site, but as I see it, it’s a platform to tell our stories. To support one another, and to share our love of the bike.
Let’s have some fun.
