Silence Lotto, Canyon Bikes and other New Sponsors

Canyon Bicycles the new official sponsor of Silence-Lotto
Canyon Bicycles has taken over from Ridley as the bike sponsor of the Team. They will be using existing models (Ultimate CF for the Classics) plus one new model, the SLX, no doubt created with Cadel in mind. Although it would be easy to think of Lotto as a new wave Tour Team, I still think there real strength is in the Classics. With Philippe Gilbert and Leif Hoste the captains but assisted by the likes of Greg Van Avermaet and Jürgen Roelandts (Belgian Champion) they should score some good results.

I am not normally drawn to the Grand Tour Teams, but I blame this one on Zabel as I have always been a fan. It is hard to believe that in a month he will finally hang up his professional wheels. Eric has been a great competitor, a true man for all seasons and races, the peloton will be a less rich place without him. Okay so back to my Milram watch, having explained why I keep an eye on them, I have found a couple of interesting posts on the the road diaries, this is basically a site from SRAM but focussing on the road and cross teams that they support and covering news and tech features.
